The College of Fine Arts is proud to prepare students for dynamic careers as Fine Arts educators in the state of Texas. Our teacher education programs in UTeach Art, UTeach Dance, UTeach Music, and UTeach Theatre provide exciting opportunities for our students to engage with young people throughout the city of Austin and beyond as they develop into strong educators. UTeach Fine Arts has nurtured meaningful relationships with mentor teachers throughout the state and we are excited to build on the work done by Dr. Hunter March to help our students to prepare to work throughout Texas, offering intentional attention on Title 1 schools, to impact young people’s lives by making the arts more accessible to more schools, more communities, and ultimately more children and youth.
This web site provides information about UTeach Fine Arts, a program with a solid eighty-year history of successfully preparing arts educators. We invite you
to explore how to apply for admission, get to know our dedicated faculty and staff in all of the disciplines, and learn more about educator certification in the Fine Arts. In addition, we provide a glimpse into some of our current students’ inspiring work with young people. Want to know more? Be in touch or schedule a visit to learn more about UTeach Fine Arts. We are eager to get to know you, too!
