A word from Dean Doug Dempster

I am pleased to highlight the UTeach Fine Arts program in the College of Fine Arts for students who want to pursue careers in teaching fine arts. It’s a rewarding, purposeful, even noble calling that shapes the future of our society. As the UT motto says, “disciplina praesidium civitatis: the cultivated mind is the guardian of society.”

We’re excited to welcome our new UTeach Fine Arts Director Roxanne Schroeder-Arce, who will be taking the reins of the program this fall as longtime leader Associate Dean of Arts Education Hunter March retires after more than 30 years of service to our college.

UTeach Fine Arts encourages our talented Fine Arts majors to explore careers in teaching. I hope you’ll consider this invitation and begin by exploring the UTeach Fine Arts web site.
